Which one is less likely to explode Aren't there different schedules (pressure ratings) for PVC Seems I have heard of schedule 4 for PVC. Any clarification would be helpful.

ABS is generally stronger as it is more flexible and more chemical resistant. Plus, it doesn't blow up into sharp shards when it fails. It tends to just crack.
