Posted - Jul 29 2005 : 8:44:49 PM I dont have much experence w/ electronics and I was just wondering with the telephone recorder it tells u 2 connect 2 the remote control jack and my recorder doesnt have 1 so can i just leave that alone or wut?

Posted - Aug 17 2005 : 10:11:22 AM I was going to build these devices a while ago, but found it was easier and safer to just buy the device from radio shack($20.00), it will let u use your voice activated taper recorder and plugs right into the phone line. The one I use myself is part# 43-228

Posted - Aug 11 2005 : 09:39:15 AM Actually I believe you can still get it to work. All the remote does on a shoebox tape recorder is act as a switch to make the thing run. You can still use this circuit to record a convo but you will have to do some creative wiring to turn your record function on and off. You can always go and get a cheap shoebox recorder this will work on for less than $20 or you can try combining it with another circuit such as the line in power circuit on this site or whatever and leave your tape deck recording until you are done with that tape using the power only to switch it on and off...

Posted - Jul 29 2005 : 10:16:20 PM The circuit turns the recorder on and off with the connection to its remote control jack. Since your recorder doesn't have remote control then it won't work with this circuit.
