I see that others have built the ckt and really like it.
But where do I get the parts without buying 100 of each part?
Radio Shack doesn't have 2n3392 NPN's nor a 1.5amp 250PIV Br Rect.

I contacted digikey (1.800.344.4539) as you suggested. 2n3392's are sold in 10k quantities. They suggested 2n5172_d26zct-nd 21cents each. For the bridge rect you suggest they would have to back order. They said I could use a DF06m-nd 50cents. I'm guessing the rest of the parts are peanuts also. Now the rub comes in that I live half way between Chillicothe and Cincinnati Ohio with nothing but a Rat Shack around. So Handling from digikey would be $5. and shipping would be $6. Then I need to build it... What a shame, I really had my heart set on this whizzer. Gramps in Hillsboro OH

Rat Shack is a terrible electronics store.

You may have a local "real" electronics store. Check the Yellow Pages for "Electronics" or "Electronics Components".

If not, then DigiKey (http://www.digikey.com ) sells in small quantities online.
