Anybody who can give me some hints? I am trying to build a "cop flasher". With other words... This thing should give 4 pulses on right side, 4 on left side, and repeat this pattern 4 times, then it should alternate from left to right with one single flash on each, and then start all over again... Anybody please help me!

If you have read my other comments, you may get the impression that i don't like ics. it isin't that i don't like them, its that i don't really know how to use alot of them. anyway, get a metal drum, put tape around it in certain places and attach a brush to brush the can. the tape breaks the electric connection. go with it. much cheeper, more hassle (not really)

Try a local technical college, they might have the equipment you need, and they might let you use it.

You're going to need some electronics experience for this. But if you know your way around a simple circuit, take a look at the BasicSTAMP microcontroller. http://www.parallax.com

How? Do you know anywhere on the internet I can found information? And how about the IC thing you mencion? Is this a possible solution?

I would say use a microprossesor or PIC. otherwise you are going to have a lot of ICs
