Me and my frend steve are building a go kart. the frame is made of 2x6 es and it has a 12.5 briggs &stratton engine. i have the electric start system working but i need to know how i should hook up the alternator. there are 2 wires coming from the stators. one is black and one is re. the black has ac while the red is rectified. the block is the negative. can i just connect the red directly to the batt to charge it and use the black to run accesories?

So Cirvin, You are going to make a gas powered Power Wheel. What kind of car design are you looking forward to. And will it be a convertable or solid top.

I sell H-drives, RC transmitters, Solder Guns, and more. www.geocities.com/edwardselectronics/

Boil a big pot of water. Seriously, grab a barrel or something, and use a large propane torch to head up the bottom....Or use a steam room...A local furnature (sp?) maker may have other suggestions or the necessary equipment.

how do i make that much steam, and how does it keep the shape? anything else?

Use steam to soften it up, then bend it over a form (barrel, etc.).
