Posted - Nov 09 2003 : 05:01:17 AM i am ver interested in building a very basic three wheal go kart with common tools no welding so do you no any sites i am also interested in connecting the wheal directly on the drive shaft of the motor please help

Posted - Nov 10 2003 : 07:35:42 AM i tried the front of an bike once it worked i used pices of medal strips used to hold large amounts of wood together cut the to 4 inch pieces and bolted the bike front off an child size bike on with the pieces of medal were kneeded on the wood however i never finished that kart but the front worked and it took only a hour or less

Posted - Nov 09 2003 : 11:04:49 PM You'd probably want a chain and sprocket. Mainly to step down the rotational speed of the shaft and trade yourself up some torque.

Posted - Nov 09 2003 : 6:47:54 PM I have seen a three wheeled go cart where the front of a bike was cut off and welded to a small piece of metal (i know that you didn't want to weld, but a shop would probably do that for you pretty cheaply). I had an excellent website about connecting a lawnmower motor, but I can't find it now. I'll try and look again.
You cannot put the engine sideways because it doesnt work like that, so you need to connect it through gears or somthing.
