Hey guys, just a quick question on the topic of lawnmower engines. I'm looking to build a wood frame gas powered kart, and I'm having difficulties finding an engine. I know horizontal drive is best, easiest to make it drive the rear wheels, but how hard is it to adapt a vertical drive mower engine to power a gokart? Also, I hear Briggs & Stratton makes horizontal drive engines. Are these gonna cost me an arm and a leg? I'm looking for the most cost effective solution to this as possible. Where would be the best place to find old mower engines that may or may not need a rebuild? Thanks alot. :)

Damnit, my first post here and I look like an idiot. I somehow missed the 'show posts from last 30 days' combo box. I'm used to seeing it at the bottom of the page. All questions have been answered. :)
