Hi Dear YS Thank you for youe help. As you guid me, I used 4N35 serial with 470 Ohm Resisitor as Load of Cut phone line detector circuit. But OptoKoupler Doesen't Work therefore i Used 100 ohm and even less Resistor But the current is about 160 mA and cause that 4N35 be very hot and finallay i lose it. it is interesting that when use Dc motor as load the voltage of dc motor is about 9V and current is aboaut 50 mA but when use 4N35 voltage of 4N35 is 1.5 and it's current is 160mA. I use 12V as Power Source of Circuit and When Line is Ok My Load Can Work (it's Voltage is about 12-1.4=10.6 Vs=1.4 but when I use 4n35 why it's Voltage is 1.5 in this mode ????)and When line is Cut The Voltage of Load is 0 . What you Recommand me about using other OptoKoupler( What Type) or How I can Decrease 160 mA if you recommand me 4N35. Thanks o lot sincerely : Samuel

The input of 4n35 is an infrared LED and its voltage is always less than 2V.The resistor is needed to limit the current. How do you know that optoisolator does not work? What kind of secondary circuit did you connect there? If the voltage is 1.5V, then the rest of it (10.5V in your case) has to be dissipated on the resistor. With 470 Ohm, by Ohm's law, Iopto= 10.5/0.47= about 25mA which is more than enough for 4n35 to work. But its output is a low-signal phototransistor and must be used accordingly.
