i'd like to build a go-cart like Aarons. How would I make the steering mechanism?

Mount the front wheels on a 2x4 or other support that can rotate in the center. Use pullies and steel cable to pivot the support...Look underneath any soapbox racer and you will find out how it is done.

what about if your are doing a 2 seater and the driver is on the left.
