is this phone bug http://www.aaroncake.net/circuits/phonebug.htm connects in series w/ phoneline or parallel?

The transmitter circuit connects in series with the phone and the phone line.

thanks, but can I put it in series w/ phone line ONLY or it must be in series w/ phone together w/ phone line?

Im nt an expert so please understand :)

Without the phone then the current in the phone line will be too high for the transmitter and will probably burn it out.

can I put transmitter before the phone in series w phoneline?
or you saying that when transmitter connected to the phoneline in series the phone must be connected to the transmitter at those 2 other pins or it will burnout?

Connect the transmitter, the telephone and the phone line in series as the project describes. The phone and the transmitter divide and share the power from the phone line.
