Posted in the wrong section, and it was (to be perfectly honest, no offense intended) pretty useless. Everyone knows what Google is, it's just the fact that they don't tend to use it.
I am simply moderating the forum. I'm not sure if you have any experience modding/administrating a forum, but I do. Lots of it. I know what works and what doesn't. I have done two things that seem to have offended you:
1. Deleting duplicate posts. I don't see why this is a problem. Duplicates are annoying and simply clutter things up.
2. Deleted an "annoucement" that you made in the wrong forum about something that shouldn't be announced anyway. Everyone knows about Google. No matter how many announcements there are, people will always post instead of searching (even if searching would have turned up an answer faster) for some reason. You could imagine the clutter and annoyance caused if there are 20 "annoucements" in each forum telling people how to search.
Perhaps you have never been a member of a moderated mailing list, or on a forum with an active moderator. But this is how things work. Without order, this forum would probably turn into a pretty useless place (as have many of the forums I used to frequent).
I for one do not appreciate your comments relating to "cockyness".
