Connect the transmitter, the telephone and the phone line in series as the project describes. The phone and the transmitter divide and share the power from the phone line.

can I put transmitter before the phone in series w phoneline?
or you saying that when transmitter connected to the phoneline in series the phone must be connected to the transmitter at those 2 other pins or it will burnout?

Without the phone then the current in the phone line will be too high for the transmitter and will probably burn it out.

The transmitter circuit connects in series with the phone and the phone line.
