Is it easy to use a lawnmower motor in a go cart? What im wondering about is the gear ratio and the fact that the lawnmower motor is sideways to the way we need it.

Also Im wondering if it has enough power.

I have an electric motor as well but I don't know how to use it.

If you use a vertical motor then you will have to gear it so that it sits that way. the vertical 2 stroke motors dont seem to work side ways well and the same for the horizontal.

Depends on the engine...Vertical shaft engines are almost useless, so you need a horizontal shaft. Two stroke verticals can be turned on their side to make them horizontal, but then you need to reorient the carb so it is the right way up.

What type of engine were you looking at?
