Posted - Feb 28 2011 : 06:05:13 AM I have a somewhat related story. A fellow class member saw that I had the same laptop as his (a new model). He asked me how much I bought the extended battery for and said something like "It must have cost you around $200 right?" I calmly replied "50" because he had previously told me he bought his for $200. After I said that he was like "WhaAaat?" and put his head in his hands. To make him feel better I said that I didn't get the warranty for the battery. He obviously wasn't aware that you could buy the battery on eBay without going through HP. Look around and compare prices! Or else you're gonna get ripped off. |

Posted - Feb 27 2011 : 10:36:06 AM A phool and his money are soon parted. People know so little of how the world works that anyone who spouts a little semi-scientific mumbo-jumbo can be rich very easily. Look at homeopathic "medicine".
James Randi, the magician and awesome debunker, offered Pear cables $1,000,000 if they could scientifically prove their speakers cables are better than any old high quality cable: http://gizmodo.com/#!305549/james-randi-offers-1-million-if-audiophiles-can-prove-7250-speaker-cables-are-better
