I built a 5' long, 3" barrel with a 100mm sanitary Y. I use an auto ignition coil for a 1/4" spark however i cant get any distance in my shots. Not even with direct port butane injection. Is my barrell too wide for my chamber? My longest shot is about 125'

thanks i built the gun described above and it works great, the only problem is i cant see the spud come out of the barrel. Oh yeah i was reading the section about yourself and it proved to me that the mullet is back! I thought i was the only one who had a mullet.

do u think a 100mm(4") sanitary Y with butane would get good distances shooting a tennis ball with a 2" barrel (4 1/2 feet long)?

I would think a tennis ball will fit in a 2" barrel, but I have never tried.

Butane gets me the best result. What sized gun do i need to launch a tennis ball long distances? i will try the 1 1/2 " barrel for my other one but im assuming you need a 2 1/2 barrel to launch a tennis ball

Sanitary Y is fine. Have you tried other fuels? Butane is tough to get right.
However, 3" is very wide for your chamber. Try 1.5".

My Chamber is a 100mm sanitary Y and my barrel is 4 feet. I tried oranges for a good seal but i still cant get any distance. I spray about 1 second of butane for fuel. Am i better of using a sanitary y or a straight chamber??? It seems to me that the orange doesnt get enough pressure behind it. The explosion is big but the force is weak

How wide is your chamber? How long is the barrel?
How much fuel are you using? It takes surprisingly little.
Good seal around the spud?
