This is a warning to any with a low IQ wanting to build a spud gun as well as a fairly humorous story because the guy who did it is a complete moron. My friends and I build a spud gun completely spur of the moment one minute someone made a spontanious comment to build a spud gun 30 min later we had the peices then after the glue dried we had a gun. anyway back to the story, It was halloween and we were making some noise with our gun when a couple of hot heads strolled by with fire crackers (which are illegal where we live but who counting). not to be out done we loaded the potato cannon quickly and we were just using wads of paper towel as ammo so as not to damage anything in out nieghbourhood. Well I was standing back having just sprayed in the fuel when before the cap was screwed on all the way Mr. Genius decided to pull the trigger the cap blew off nailing him right in the forhead and down he went. Luckily noone was hurt and we went on having some fun. I don't mean to discourage anyone from building one of these fine toys but don't do it unless your IQ registers on the scale.
