i have a craftsman 6.75 hp lawnmower engine and i still have the lawnmower componets. is there a way to use the pulley system thatmoves the whels in a gokart.
p.s i cannot get a side shaft engine

Probably. If the lawnmower used the engine to turn the wheels, then there is a gearbox somewhere that will convert from vertical to horizontal. With the appropriate gearing, it should work fine for a go-kart.

BTW, it helps if your questions weren't so vague. Vague questions get even vaguer answers.
