i was wondering if it's possible to get or make a differential for a direct chain drive gokart i have heard just having a single drive wheel is the easiest way but it isn't practical for what I'm doing, any idea's?

Well, you can make one if you have access to a machine shop.

Consider looking at differentials from other small vehicles:
-lawn tractors
-golf karts
-snow blowers

I also just Googled for "go kart differential" and came up with a page full of online suppliers listing various types for sale, often for under $100.
