is it possible to drop a turbo II engine and tranny into a different car other than the rx7?

The TII engine is a pretty easy swap into any 1st or 2nd gen RX-7. Other cars depend on how much effort you want to expend. I've seen them in Fiats, Porsches, dune buggies, Minis (that was cool), etc. All you need to do is make the proper engine and tranny mounts, get or make the right driveshaft, and then figure out some way to control the whole mess (aftermarket EFI like the Microtech LT-8 is cheap and best choice IMHO).

it would be worth it on like a small economy pcar, have the 'stangs and cameros laff at you and then you leave them in the dust!

Anything is possible. It all depends on how much time and money you want to spend. It would be a complete custom job with all bracketry being hand fabricated.
