Hi Aaron,

Is it normal for OMP lines on an 86 to begin to empty out a bit after a few days of sitting? If the car has been sitting for 2 days for example, there will be about 1 cm of air between the line and the banjo fitting. To fill them back up I usually pull the lever on the intake manifold to refill the lines at idle.

Thanks

Normal. There is no check valve in the metering pump so they will empty.

Though you may want to pull the oil nozzles and clean them out becuase the check ball may be sticking and allowing air into the line.
