i have this walkman style pocket radio that all of a sudden stopped receiving fm stereo. the stereo led doesn't light up and sound from the earphones is mono. if i'm careful at tuning, i can hear what i think is the pilot tone, just a little bit off a station. the rest of the functions work ok. the only reason i can think of why this happened is i have to tap it against something everytime i need to remove the three AAA batteries.

is there something i can do to fix it? it's a GE 7-1627A. thanks in advance.
