I have modified my ordinary analog telephone which i change the handset into external speaker. I make the hook switch to be push button switch where when you want to pick up the phone, you have to push the button.
The problem is, how do i cut off the line without reach my telephone? Do you have any circuit for that?

Note: I tought of having an auto off omde where there is no conversation happens, the telephone off mode activated.

Like a remote on/off? well you could run a pair of wires with the switch on the other end so it is where ever you want it. Or you might be able to use the IR remote circuit in the circuit part of this site.

You could use a 'clapper' and clap your hands to hang up....

Maybe you are looking for a simple circuit which will turn off relay after audio signal disappears. It should contain an amplifier (one transistor), rectifier (another transistor or a diode), electrolythic capacitor to discharge slowly and one more transistor to control relay. Somewhat similar is "video activated relay" on tis website.
