Hello folks,

I have reviewed the circuit for the ring detect w/light. I need very simular functionality except I would like to drive a small relay to close it's contact if ring voltage is detected. I don't want the relay to oscilate on/off but stay on during the presence of the ring voltage. This circuit will need to drive the requirements for the Night Ringer function of a BOGEN TPU-15 Telephone Paging Amplifier.

It's been quite a while since I''ve designed some I am rusty and could use some ideas.

Thanks much.

Put a large capacitor in parallel with the base of the transistor controlling the relay (in the circuit you mentioned).
