I recently got this cordless phone from a friend and I am going to try to use it for data transmission.

I opened up the phone just for the sake of it and I found something intresting. The radio transiver module is a seperate board on the handset and the base unit, and each of the pins are oh so convieniently labeled: MOD, TX, GRD, LO, GND, IF, ANT, GND, V3, LE, DATA, and CLK.

Most of thees pins are obvious, others aren't. Would it make more sense to try and just use the whole unit as a phone, or try and just use this single module?

To use a module, you need to figure out the control protocol. Good luck.
