Hi, I am trying to build a device to skip the first 2 incoming telephone rings by counting or just a delay timing. I would like it to open/release the 3rd ring so you can hear it.
My scenario is I have the main telephone line into a voice modem computer and the outgoing phone-out port providing to all telephones in the house. This computer has software that will block incoming calls if there on the list. So when one of these calls does come in everything rings twice then the computer hangs up the line. It would be nice to stop/silent first 2 rings, this way when a unwanted/block call come in we would not hear it at all. If the call is legit then I would hear this on the 3rd ring and there on.

I am looking for a similar item, except I only need to supress the 1st ring, so the caller ID info has transmitted.
I found comercial items for about 300.00, but I really cannot afford it since it is for my home, not business.
If you found some info, please share it with me.
If you are looking to buy one, let me know, i will look harder for the link.
