Do you know of any advantages and disadvantages to having 3 spark plugs per rotor as opposed to only having 2?

If you don't have the time to do it right, when will you have the time to do it over?

3 spark plugs allows slightly better combustion by being able to clean up the tailing end of unburned fuel. Better power, better emissions, better fuel economy. Of course, the "better" is only very, very slight. The disadvantage of course is the machine work required to modify standard rotor housing for a 3rd plug, and the fact that the upper dowel pin is in the way. Plus the EMS to run it. Mazda only ever saw fit to run 3 plugs on the R26B.
