This circuit is extremely simple, therefore there is less chance of any problems. It can be placed anywhere on the phone line and it will record any conversation on any phone on that line.

Please note: I have received several emails saying that this circuit will not work and that it may hold your line off hook and to me it looks like it will (it would put quite a load on the phone line). For some, it has worked fine. Build at your own risk.

Description

R11470 Ohm 1/4 Watt Resistor
R211K 1/4 Watt Resistor
R31100K 1/4 Watt Resistor
R416K 1/4 Watt Resistor
C1, C220.01 uF 100V Ceramic Capacitor
K1124VDC Reed Relay
MISC1Wire, Headphone Plugs, Phone Plug Or Alligator Clips

Notes

  1. Email Derek Tombrello with comments, questions, etc.
  2. To use the circuit, simply connect it in series to the phone. Then plug in the recorder. It will start recording when the phone is picked up.
  3. The values of R1 and R2 may have to be adjusted, depending on the characteristics of the phone line it is connected to (they vary). If the R1+R2 combination is increased sufficiently (try 2.47K) then the circuit can be connected in parallel with the line, thus covering all attached devices. (Thanks to Mark Wright for the suggestion).
  4. T.A. Betts offers this suggestion for getting this problematic circuit working: "If you drop the resistors and add a 2.2uF capacitor the line will not stay off hook. It blocks the DC from the moniter position."

I saw on some news show that spoke about a woman who suspected her husband of cheating, the PI was able to...with a simple software program...have her hear EVERYTHING during his day as long as the battery was in...even if it was off! So it is all too possible to do this...but many say that it is not. How can you check for tapped cell phone? Is my question!

http://www.e-stealth.com/ULTIMATE-BLUETOOTH-MOBILE-PHONE-SPY-SOFTWARE-NEW-EDITION-2008_p_1-8.html just a link I found... same technology that was used by the FBI to tap into the speaker of a phone and use it as a listening device.... not too many ways to figure out if it's being used on you.. however if you find that your battery life is really being depleted a lot more than normal... your phone is probably being used in this way Also type Cell Phone Listening Device into a google search engine... you'll find all kinds

to a if your ex is tapping your phone, he either has a key to get into your house where the recorder is connected to a phone outlet, or he gets into your attic through an outside access(?) where the recorder is plugged into a phone line. start tracing your outlets and wires until you find where the recorder is.
