| Although a hold feature is standard on most new phones, a lot of us still use the origional bell phones. Those of us that require a hold feature will find this circuit very useful. It is easy to build, and is compact enough to be installed inside the phone with no real problem. It is also powered by the phone line itself, eliminating the need for batteries. |

| Wonder if music-on-hold circuit is available... | ||
| i was looking for somethig like this ...got it .working well for my telephone... | ||
| (In reply to GRREG): This circuit simply maintains the line's 'busy' state so that the caller is not disconnected. It does not actually provide any means for transmitting audio signals along the line. The circuit itself can be quite useful, although I personally prefer a PBX system with which I may taunt telemarketers with looping menus >:) | ||
| This would seem to also work as a "Off Hook" or "Do Not Disturb" device. Just press the button to make your phone "off hook" without hearing a dial tone and alert tone. Just pick up a phone to reset it. | ||
| IS THERE A WAY TO USE A WIRELESS PHONE BUTTON ARRAY TO PUT CALLERS ON HOLD WITH MUSIC AND LASTLY I WANT TO MAKE ONE MUSIC ON HOLD CIRCUIT FOR SEVERAL PHONES IN DIFFERENT LOCATION IN MY HOME | ||
| I'm going to make a hold button that when pressed plays the boring hold music of my choice from a tape recorder (I will have to rewind the tape each time I put someone on hold though) | ||
