Hi,
I'm brand new to this whole scooter thing and I recently purchased two electric scooters, one a generic 300w e-scooter from a swap meet and another 500w panterra scooter from a national auto parts store (pepboys). I really like the panterra as it is now, except I would like to increase the top end with a sprocket swap, either smaller one on the wheel or larger one on the motor. does anybody know of cheap source for sprockets? Also, is there any way to add a battery from an electric drill in series to the rest? like i said i'm brand new to this so bear with me.

thanks.

Try local first. Most communities have bearing/sprocket/equipment suppliers that can stock or order nearly anything. If you can't find it local, check out:

Nope. If you want to increase voltage by adding a battery in series, you need to use the same type of battery, and then replace the controller and charger with units rated for the higher voltage.

Look in the Yellow Pages for sprockets or gears. Adding the battery from a drill most likely wouldnt add much speed, acceleration or longevity to your scooter rides.
