Hi, I'm brand new to this whole scooter thing and I recently purchased two electric scooters, one a generic 300w e-scooter from a swap meet and another 500w panterra scooter from a national auto parts store (pepboys). I really like the panterra as it is now, except I would like to increase the top end with a sprocket swap, either smaller one on the wheel or larger one on the motor. does anybody know of cheap source for sprockets? Also, is there any way to add a battery from an electric drill in series to the rest? like i said i'm brand new to this so bear with me.
thanks.

Look in the Yellow Pages for sprockets or gears. Adding the battery from a drill most likely wouldnt add much speed, acceleration or longevity to your scooter rides.

Try local first. Most communities have bearing/sprocket/equipment suppliers that can stock or order nearly anything. If you can't find it local, check out:

Nope. If you want to increase voltage by adding a battery in series, you need to use the same type of battery, and then replace the controller and charger with units rated for the higher voltage.
