I was driving to work today, and it struggled to get moving on the highway, 50mph. Then, when I slowed as I was getting into town the RPM's suddenly went to 0 and I pulled over. I barely started it as it struggled to keep 500RPM's. I inched it to my work as I could not leave it in it's current spot. It was rattling and banging around under the hood, and when I got to my parking space it puttered and finally died and I pushed it a foot or two into the space.
I know I shouldn't have driven it, but I can't call in sick 30 minutes before my shift and I couldn't get a ride.
It was clearly dying. No previous owners took care of it. My brother and mom didn't take care of it when they were driving it. I still feel like I killed it.
What was wrong with it?
