I would like to use my computer to create enable or disable the current in the phone line. The idea is to create a switch controlled by my computer (via serial or parallel port) , where I can allow to provide tone or not in the phone line. If there is a hardware already for this case (may be a pc card) I will appreciate your help.
Yes theire is and that card is called a MODEM duhhh. OK seriously, you have just to program you modem to do that job. and if your modem is a voice medem, you will have a lot's of opportunity. Think about it.....
