Damn, was hoping that at least one of those would be rotary.

I've always liked the Trident. There's just so much possibility for shoving an insanely powerful engine into one...Oddly enough, there is a company making and selling reproductions.

Who would that be? It's an interesting concept: a single person car. I'd be worried about rollover if there was too much horsepower in it though. Never quite felt right with only three wheels...

Some Welsh guys have come up with a new form of electric motor that could be very helpful for electric vehicles:

Pulse Rotor Electric Motor

I can't seem to find who is remaking the Trident. But they're not cheap...Around $30K if I recall.

As for the new motor, I'll believe it when I see it. 90% of these new motor developments are simply rehashes of older designs which were thrown out years ago...Remember, we've had more then 100 years to build electric motors...We've pretty much got it figured out. Current motors are 90% efficient, which high end models approaching 98%, so it's not like there's a lot to improve upon.

Yikes! I'd make my own electric Runabout from scratch before I'd pay that!
