Hi, I built the FM transmitter from http://www.aaroncake.net/circuits/fmtrans.asp. It came together very quickly and works but has a few problems.
First, it is supposed to run off 9v for 300' range or 12v for 400' range, but mine does not work at all on 12v. The only component I substituted was the 5.6pf cap for a 5pf.
Also, it only goes about 30~40 feet rather than 300.
It also seems to be very sensitive to static. It doesn't work at all if I touch it anywhere. I tried putting it in a metal box with the antenna going out and insulated on the inside but it wouldn't work in there either.
It will only pick up my voice if its about 1 1/2' away, but that may be normal.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, AnonymousNerd
