I was wondering if I could substitute a actual inductor for L2, L1 and was wondering about what value that should be. (This page: http://www.aaroncake.net/circuits/fmtrans.asp )

If you purchase an inductor then the transmitter might not work because you might need to squeeze the turns together or spread them apart. A purchased inductor might not work at such a high frequency.

Why can't you make the simple coils?
