Hi,
I just bought a 350 watt 36 volt motor off of ebay to replace a 300 watt 24 volt motor that my e-scooter came with. my question is whether its a good idea to add a 6V 12 AH or a 12V battery along with the new motor. Also, would i need to replace the controller when I add the 6v/12v battery or not? The scooter's pretty cheap so i think it would be a good idea but I don't want to if i don't need to. If i do need a new controller, tell me if you have any cheap sources for them. Also, how hard would it be to wire in a turbo switch for the additional battery, if i were to add one? sorry i know its alot of questions all at once but your advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

If you go to 36V, then you need to replace the controller and charger.

There is another topic just below this one that has a link to cheap controllers/motors.

"Turbo" switches are not recommended because they will make an unbalanced battery pack, and could damage the controller.
